Welcome to the "Caking It Back to Basics 1:1 Class," where we'll explore the 'secrets' of baking beautiful cakes! In this personalised baking journey, we'll cover fundamental techniques, essential ingredients, and creative tips to help you master the art of cake baking.
Introduction to Basic Baking Skills (Stage 1 - Beginner)
1-1 classes are perfect for individuals wanting to improve or refine their cake baking skills and would prefer the intimacy of private guided tuition. Whether you are a complete beginner or are looking to learn a new tips to improve your cakes we can tailor the learning to your requirements.
This beginner/improver course will run on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (timings are approx. and will be confirmed upon booking)

Baking a simple sponge cake.
How to torte and ice a simple teatime sponge cake.
The correct use of equipment and introduction to different types of cake covering
Food hygiene & safety procedures and advice.
Fully inclusive - 1:1 tuition and guidance & EVERYTHING you need to enable you to take away a beautifully baked vanilla sponge cake.

Please note that you will have to work with us to find a mutually convenient space in our diary. We have very limited availability during the summer / Autumn months.
Classes will run 10am - 3/3.30pm with a 30-45min lunch break (TBC) *timings may vary.
Tea / Coffee / Snacks available, but please bring a packed lunch.
